Hoards Earliest Metal Talk
Rarely does a year go by without a new headline-making discovery of a Bronze Age hoard. From fewer than ten cases in 1997 to around 60 today. But how have these discoveries contributed to our knowledge of people and community during the first age of metal? This talk explores some of the most important and interesting Bronze Age hoards found in recent years. It will set them in their wider context and ask searching questions about how new discoveries are contributing to the big stories that we can tell.
